As part of the team working in the Specialist Crime Division, you can make a real difference by supporting the provision of the Counter Terrorism Operational Development Unit to our officers and staff.
For this role, you will be responsible for building relationships with UK wide network partners within Learning and Development. You will be required to lead and coordinate a comprehensive learning and development service across Police Scotland in accordance with national standards and continuous improvement principles.
This role is a part-time post, working 14 hours per week. There is flexibility across which days your hours can be completed on, which will be confirmed upon discussion with your line manager. This role will be office-based.
Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant must be willing to complete extensive vetting.
Key Responsibilities -
To lead on the development and coordination of support and develop Organisational Learning and Development structures and processes in Scotland so as to promote continuous improvement and organisational change within the Counter Terrorism (CT) community, in line with the Protect/Prepare Strand of the CONTEST strategy.
Prioritise and plan CT Training and continuous professional development to ensure sufficient capability and capacity and operational effectiveness across CT policing in Scotland. Lead on the CT mobilisation process and effectively coordinate the deployment of CT resources across Scotland and in support of the UK CT Network.
