Greater Manchester Police currently has vacancies and projected vacancies for custody cleaning operatives, to provide professional cleaning within our custody suites at Longsight and North Manchester.
Working as part of a team supporting custody staff you will carry out an essential cleaning role within GMP’s very busy custody units.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To provide an exceptional cleaning service within our custody suites, which will include cleaning cells, toilets, kitchens, medical rooms, shower areas and offices
• Previously worked in a large commercial cleaning environment
• Highly motivated
• Flexible
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Able to work on your own and as part of a team
• Able to carry out a physically demanding role including bending, lifting, pushing, pulling and handling equipment
GENERAL

Having a driving licence and access to a car would be an advantage when asked to provide cover at alternative sites however this is not essential.
You will be contracted to work at a particular Custody site, where it is expected you will be based for the majority of the time. However, from time-to-time, it may be necessary for you to work at an alternative site temporarily for operational reasons.
