Cumbria Constabulary are now accepting applications for transferees across all roles and specialisms for Police Constables and Sergeants. Apply now to come and join us!

Whilst accepting all roles for PC rank, we are particularly interested in:

Specialist roles such as PC Armed Response Vehicle Officers (must be qualified Armed Response Vehicle level)
Detective Constables (including those who are currently working towards their qualification - ICIDP or previous Home Office equivalent)
Fraud Trained Detectives, detectives who are trained Financial Investigators
Surveillance Officer Constables (for this role individuals must hold Q1 Surveillance accreditation)
Response officers

Our response bases are: Kendal, Penrith, Carlisle, Workington, Whitehaven and Barrow.

Our shift pattern is: 2 x Early, 2 x Late, 2 x Nights, 4 x Rest days.

Please note postings will be made based on operational requirements.

We are also looking for applications from Sergeants looking to be posted to the Westmorland and Furness area. Please see shift pattern attached in supporting documents here Transferees

Applications can now be accepted from British Transport Police and Officers from Police Scotland however please note Cumbria cannot accept transferees from the Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC). CNC candidates will need to apply through the standard PC recruitment process.

Cumbria can only accept transferee applications from NCA officers if they have previously worked in a home office force within the last 5 years.
