ERSOU - CTP - Police Staff - SO1-PO2 - Financial Investigator

An exciting and challenging vacancy has arisen for a full-time police staff role on the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit - Counter Terrorism Policing (ERSOU CTP) Financial Investigations Team at a covert location in Hertfordshire.

This is an opportunity for a highly motivated person looking to develop their career and work within the Counter Terrorism Policing environment. You will be part of a small team undertaking proactive and reactive Counter Terrorism financial investigations, working towards establishing funding or other links to Terrorist and Extremist Organisations. The post holder will provide assistance to Regional and National CTP teams and partner agencies by developing intelligence, investigations and disruptions in support of Counter Terrorist and Extremist issues within the Eastern Region. Given the nature of the CTP effort there may be a requirement to travel throughout the Eastern Region based on operational need. The post holder should also be prepared to travel outside of the Eastern Region in support of national priorities if required.

It is desirable that applicants are accredited by the National Crime Agency (NCA) as a Financial Intelligence Officer or Financial Investigator under the Proceeds of Crime Act. Whilst NCA financial accreditation is desirable, applicants with appropriate background and experience will also be considered. All applicants must be willing to obtain / maintain accreditation as a Financial Investigator under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 and as a Counter Terrorism Financial Investigator in accordance with Terrorism Act 2000 as amended by the Criminal Finance Act 2017.
