About the team
The Domestic Corruption Unit sits within the National Lead Force Directorate of the City of London Police and will be part of the NPCC Portfolio for Economic Crime. As a National Lead Force for fraud unit, the team will contribute to national operational and strategic leadership in the fields of economic crime and will develop working partnerships across policing, law enforcement agencies and wider.
The Domestic Corruption Unit has been set up to be dynamic and agile to enable it to pivot to respond to present threats, intelligence led opportunities or significant reactive investigations.
As such applications are sought from individuals from diverse backgrounds with diverse skillsets and with energetic, creative and can-do attitudes. Experience dealing with bribery and corruption, organised or major crime, financial investigation, proactive investigation or digital, telecoms or crypto investigation would be an advantage.
About the role
You will hold a key role within the new Domestic Corruption Unit which is dedicated to preventing, disrupting and investigating UK based bribery and corruption across business and public sectors.
You will have a can-do attitude and be keen to shape national policing capability and build trust and confidence to support economic wellbeing of the UK.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be:
- Conduct and manage the closure of investigations in line with relevant investigation policies
- Gathering and analysing technical evidence such as telecoms, digital material, financial and crypto
- Attending multi agency case conferences/meeting as a representative of the org
- Working in partnership with other agencies to prepare, submit and complete cases
Requirements
For this role, we need you to have experience of:
- Drafting warrants, production orders or authorities
- Strong CPIA Knowledge and experience
- Strong Investigative Experience
- Managing complex cases
- bribery and corruption or counter corruption investigations

Selection Process
As part of the initial application process, you will be asked to evidence how your experience, skills, and knowledge demonstrate your ability to meet the person specification of the role.
The application and interview will be tested under Level 2of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework.
Applicants who fail to address the skills/knowledge/experience of the job description will not be considered.
The closing date for applications is Monday 10th February 2025
Following shortlisting, successful candidates will be invited to attend a competency-based interview, to be held week commencing Monday 24th February 2025.
