Technical Capability Developer

Tarian ROCU is looking for tech-minded and suitably qualified individuals who are interested in applying their skills and knowledge in an exciting, emerging field of law enforcement. Applications are sought from individuals who would like to work in a new team developing digital capabilities of the future, part of a UK network of specialists providing unique opportunities to obtain evidence and intelligence to the law enforcement community.

Successful applicants will work alongside other ROCU and force teams to assist in the investigation of the most serious and high risk investigations within our region.

Candidates will be interested in keeping up with the latest developments, able to grasp computing concepts and translate these into solutions. They must understand the importance of working lawfully, ethically and with impartiality at all times

This role is initially advertised on a fix term contract until 31st March 2026 with potential for being established as permanent at the end of the period

The successful candidate must be prepared to undergo vetting to MV/SC level with potential for Developed Vetting in the future.

Please note, if you are subject to an ongoing PSD investigation, you appointment or placement in the role may be delayed pending an outcome. Whether the role is held open will be considered on a case-by-case basis
