What does the Financial Intelligence Manager (Opal) do?
Lead and manage financial intelligence processes with strategic oversight of financial risk across serious acquisitive crime types. Act as Opal’s single point of contact for financial matters relating to the Proceeds of Crime Act (PoCA), civil asset forfeiture and financial intelligence coordination. Collaborate regularly with key partners including the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) and other law enforcement bodies at local, regional, and national levels.
What will I need to be considered for the role of Financial Intelligence Manager (Opal)?
Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of police investigations and file preparation for serious crime
- Current understanding of legal frameworks around indictable offences
- Experience working directly with CPS and other prosecutorial bodies
- Strong interpersonal skills for relationship management and training delivery
- History of successful multi-agency collaboration
