Financial Investigator (Detective Constable)
Make an impact investigating financial crimes and delivering justice.Join us as a Financial Investigator (DC) working in EMSOU’s SOC Investigation Team, where you’ll drive P1 and P2 level investigations into financial crimes. Use your expert evidence gathering skills to build intelligence, support prosecutions and recover assets.
You’ll be
Financially investigating suspects to find and confiscate criminally obtained assets, including cash seizure and forfeiture procedures.
Preparing and presenting case material, collaborating with partners to progress this and attending court to give evidence.
Distributing intelligence appropriately and using this to achieve goals ethically and in line with policy.
You must have
Investigative experience particularly around finance and fraud, and be ICIDP qualified or equivalent, and PIP 2 competent/working towards it.
Exhibit handling, interviewing and disclosure experience.
Knowledge of legislation and procedure regarding Serious and Organised crime.
Security Requirements - This post requires regular access to sensitive material and applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo enhanced security clearance before taking up the post. The material may be of sensitivity to the UK and may therefore be restricted to UK nationals. In approved circumstances, dual nationals (of which one element is British) may be granted access. However, if potential conflicts of interest cannot be managed, the post holder will not be permitted access to the systems or material required for the role and will not therefore be able to perform their duties. For the purposes of safeguarding national security, applicants who do not hold or achieve the required levels of security clearance requirements cannot be offered the post.
