Operational Training Trainer
To deliver Lincolnshire Police’s priorities of stopping crime and ASB; protecting people from harm; and helping those in need. To do this by delivering training internally and externally in a range of operational policing skills, such as First-Aid, MOE and public & personal safety training, etc. thereby ensuring we will have a workforce who are knowledgeable, confident, skilled & equipped to deliver our priorities.

In your role you will work closely with members of the People Development team, Force colleagues, internal/external stakeholders and external delivery teams
CORE WORK AREAS:
- Design, deliver and evaluate learning activities in order to improve the effectiveness and quality of staff training and to meet external and internal requirements e.g. College of policing, NPCC and HMIC.
- Design, delivery and evaluation of operational training such as CBRN, Method of Entry, Public Order, First-Aid, PCEP and Personal Safety Training, including the use of dynamic scenario training.
- To consistently monitor the delivery of learning to achieve the required student levels of knowledge, skills and behaviours and where necessary to identify, challenge and influence to ensure students adjust their behaviours.
- Support Professional Standards Department as an expert witness in Use of Force complaints, providing written statements and development plans where required.
- Maintain and expand knowledge and skills relating to subject area to ensure our learning solutions remain relevant and innovative.
- Liaising with other Police Forces, the College of Policing and other agencies to ensure our training content is in line with legislation, good practice and guidance.
- Support the development of the annual training plan and act as a co-ordinator for the operations team in relation to scheduling and demand.
- Support the Recruitment team in the administration and delivery of the Force Fitness Tests.
- Provide support and guidance where appropriate to support officers and staff to meet their required fitness level to attend their operational training courses.
- Provide risk assessments for all current and newly designed training courses in relation to operational training.
- Undertake ad hoc/ general administrative duties that are commensurate with the post as required.
Undertake duties across the force area as training takes place in various locations.
