6321 Duty Planning Officer
Gloucestershire constabulary are looking to recruit a Duty Planning Officer to join our Duty Planning team, based in Bamfurlong, Cheltenham. Due to the location a Driving License and access to transport is advisable.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Duty Planning Unit, we have recently introduced an external platform to manage the Constabularies Duty Management and are looking to recruit the following posts:
1 x Permanent Contract, 37 Hours per Week
1 x Fixed Term Contract (22 months), 37 Hours per Week
The closing date is 14th September 23:55pm
The candidate will need to be motivated and committed to meet the demands of a challenging role, you will require excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate resilience and initiative within a busy team in order to meet day to day demands of the organisation.
The successful candidate will have multiple responsibilities and in particular be able to:
- Deliver effective resource plans for operational policing to meet the complex needs of a variety of business areas.
- Maintain staffing levels for day to day policing activities, and for planned/spontaneous operations.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to engage with departmental colleagues and supervisors.
- Accurately record data in appropriate Force IT systems to enable the production of effective resource plans.
- Act as a first point of contact for resource management enquiries.
- Support the maintenance of the organisational skill base.
- Produce reports and analysis to assist managers with future resourcing decisions.
