Intelligence Support Officer

Lincolnshire Police is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intelligence Support Officer to join our Sensitive Intelligence Unit. This is a pivotal role supporting intelligence development and enabling effective decision-making across strategic and tactical policing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, process, and evaluate intelligence using the Force intelligence system.
Conduct research into crime, disorder, property, and individuals using available resources.
Liaise with internal units, other Forces, and external agencies.
Update and maintain intelligence databases and systems.
Disseminate intelligence through briefings, bulletins, and verbal updates.
Provide administrative support and respond to intelligence requests from partner agencies.
Promote good practice and a corporate approach across operational environments.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

Strong analytical and research skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
Proficiency in using IT systems and databases.
Commitment to the principles of the Code of Ethics and safeguarding responsibilities.

Desirable:

Previous experience in an intelligence or policing environment.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and procedures.
Experience working with partner agencies.
