Lincolnshire Police is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intelligence Support Officer to join our Sensitive Intelligence Unit. This is a pivotal role supporting intelligence development and enabling effective decision-making across strategic and tactical policing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, process, and evaluate intelligence using the Force intelligence system.
  • Conduct research into crime, disorder, property, and individuals using available resources.
  • Liaise with internal units, other Forces, and external agencies.
  • Update and maintain intelligence databases and systems.
  • Disseminate intelligence through briefings, bulletins, and verbal updates.
  • Provide administrative support and respond to intelligence requests from partner agencies.
  • Promote good practice and a corporate approach across operational environments.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems and databases.
  • Commitment to the principles of the Code of Ethics and safeguarding responsibilities.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in an intelligence or policing environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and procedures.
  • Experience working with partner agencies.
