Tier One Crime Scene Investigator

Lincolnshire Police is seeking a Tier 1 Crime Scene Investigator to join the Crime Scene Investigation team.

About the Role

As a Crime Scene Investigator, you will:

Provide Crime Scene Examination functionality to volume crime scenes whilst maximising forensic opportunities for the investigative process.
Provide support under supervision, to complex, serious, and major crime scenes as required ensuring the successful completion of any forensic examination to the appropriate forensic strategy level.
They will comply with the requirements detailed within ISO 17020 and the FSR Codes of Practice. To support the implementation of these standards and the delivery and continued maintenance of accreditation across the CSI functions.
They will maintain personal career development profile, training records, and competence against agreed CSI Technical Procedures and Work Instructions.
They will work with Managers to identify opportunities to develop capabilities, exploit innovation and deliver efficiencies, whilst demonstrating value for money.
They will participate in specialist CSI work streams for DVI.
They will work within Risk Assessments in line with force and regional Health and Safety policies and National Legislation.

Communication

Provide reception services for medicals and counsellors as required, providing relevant documentation, in support of/in the absence of the administrator.
Act as a point of contact for internal and external enquiries from clients and business colleagues, both face to face and by telephone and email. Provide timely responses to queries, escalating to the appropriate team member for support and advice.
Attendance at meetings as required, deputising for the Office Manager if necessary and taking minutes.
