Performance Manager
To strategically lead and manage the delivery of Force performance in line with the Force, Home Office, NPCC and HMICFRS objectives.
To develop and manage the Force performance management framework, providing professional advice and reporting to the Force and OPCC in respect of performance related matters.
To lead the development of the Force’s performance staff with regard to their working practices, training and professional development.
To be responsible for ensuring the Force meets its statutory performance requirements and practices in line with the Home Office, NPCC, and HMICFRS.
- Lead the strategic delivery of performance within the force ensuring a cohesive approach which responds to the Force’s strategy and operational needs.
- Strategically manage the performance framework ensuring alignment between strategic, tactical and operational requirements.
- Provide oversight and direction for the Performance Unit, through the co-ordination, prioritisation and evaluation of demand, enhancing the profile of this area of work as well as developing areas of best practice surrounding techniques, training and production of products.
- Work with the BI Business Lead to ensure that development of the Business Intelligence dashboards aligns to operational and organisational requirements, exploiting the functionality of the business intelligence tool.
- Promote and advise the organisation on the most appropriate use of performance measures and associated resources
- Support and advise Chief Officers in preparation for performance briefings, including preparation and presentation at OPCC and Force meetings and represent the Force at Regional and National events, when required.
