Salary: £26,106 - £28,653 per annum plus 14% shift allowance and a weekend working allowance
Location: The Hall, Beverley
Hours: 37 hours per week (Full Time)
(Working hours follow a shift pattern, working in the day and evening, with hours between 0700hrs and 2200hrs. Includes weekend working of 1 in 4 weekends)

We are currently recruiting for a Compliance & Engagement Officer to uphold the enforcement of road traffic legislation, working to reduce casualties on the roads within the Humberside Police area. In this uniformed role you will carry out enforcement from a safety camera van and from the roadside combined with associated administration duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and operate the Humberside-wide safety camera sites and equipment, ensuring safe storage.
- Sets up and undertakes road safety camera enforcement and monitoring on selected sites.
- Receives, maintains and documents the operation of a wide range of automated traffic enforcement and data collection equipment, ensuring that they remain lawful and are calibrated/serviced in accordance with codes of practice, guidance and legislation.
- Attend public events, delivers road safety advice, presentations, speed awareness courses and demonstrations of safety camera equipment when required.
- Liaise with highways agencies and Safer Roads Humber to survey and commission traffic data collection equipment at new and faulted sites ensuring a record of relevant information and compliance with relevant codes of practice and legislation is maintained.
- Represent Humberside Police and Safer Roads Humber by dealing with enquiries from members of the public in a professional manner, maintaining an awareness of personal safety and the potential for conflict.

What the role requires:
- Holds a full driving licence to drive cars and light vans.
- Holds or is prepared to work towards IQ Level 3 Organisation in Road Safety Enforcement Technology Laser Operator.
- Has a basic knowledge of traffic legislation, traffic enforcement and driver safety.
- Experience of giving presentations to a range of audiences.
- Has experience of working in a secure and confidential environment.
- Be flexible to meet requirements of the post.
