Kent Police have an ambition to be at the forefront of innovation, leveraging cutting-edge technology specifically in relation to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to drive excellence in service delivery and achieve efficiencies. The newly created RPA and AI team will be pivotal in transforming our operations and delivering solutions.

 

We are therefore seeking a full time dynamic and experienced Senior IT Business Analyst to drive our demanding Automation and AI programme., this role is based at Kent Police Headquarters but is primarily home-based.  You will play a crucial role in analysing and optimising critical business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending IT solutions to meet those needs. You will develop and plan the contribution that IT Services can make to specific business objectives, processes and systems, establishing solid links between the business and operational needs and IT to transform business processes which maximise benefits. You will help to identify new and innovative approaches to performing business activities and influence the design of processes and systems to achieve improved performance, efficiencies, cost reduction and maximise the benefits of the approach.

 

You will be an experienced and expert Senior Business Analyst and have delivered IT services in a similarly complex environment using industry recognised approaches such as ITIL, Prince and Agile and be familiar with IT Environments and inter-dependencies on systems, services and underlying technologies. You will also have recent experience of working with senior business stakeholders, developing and managing stakeholder relationships with IT experts as required to conduct investigations at a high level to support business strategies.

 

You will possess technical expertise and proficiency in Automation tools and platforms, along with a solid understanding of software development and system integration. Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute automation projects within set timelines and budgets will be essential. As are effective analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex processes and identify opportunities for automation, as well as to evaluate the impact of implemented solutions.

 

You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels and to present ideas and proposals clearly. The role will also require exceptional leadership skills to guide and motivate the automation delivery team, ensuring high levels of morale and productivity. This is coupled with strong problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and optimize automation workflows and change management skills, that provide you with the ability to manage change and drive the implementation of new processes and technologies across the Force.

 

Kent Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £62,763.00.
