6313 Workforce Planning Officer
This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly created Workforce Planning Team in the People and Business Services department.
The Workforce Planning Officer is a specialist post responsible for leading and managing the operational workforce plan across all staffing groups throughout the Constabulary. This is a critical post which informs, develops and executes excellence in workforce planning.
The successful candidate will undertake a range of day-to-day tasks including:
Working with the HR Recruitment Team and the Learning and Development Department to ensure recruitment plans are implemented in line with Home Office and local targets.
Support with the allocation of police staff posts such as PCSOs, Force Control Room and Police Staff Investigators.
Produce data and business intelligence that help to inform workforce planning and development strategies
Work with operational teams to develop monitoring tools, support with workforce planning issues and succession planning
Supervisory responsibility for the Establishment Administrator
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who has:
Experience of continuing HR development
Excellent analytical, data modelling and forecasting stills
Highly numerate
Mastery in the use of Excel and other modelling/forecasting tools
Experience of workforce planning in a complex, fast paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience of working with, manipulating and reporting from HRIS
At least 3 years’ experience working in an HR environment; in workforce planning, talent management or a related area
Experience of working with and influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
Interviews will provisionally be taking place week commencing 15th September.
