An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to undertake the role of Pro-active Management Plans (PMP) Business Advisor within the Athena Management Organisation. This primarily home-based role will be a secondment/fixed term contract basis until March 2029.

 

This is a challenging role that requires the successful candidate to possess a strong knowledge of PMP functionality and associated business processes in order to continue the roll out of this business-critical module across the consortium. You will give expert advice and guidance to Athena Forces on the PMP element of the system including training and supporting new adopters.

 

You will respond to queries received from Athena Forces, solving problems and making decisions on behalf of the 9 force consortium. You will provide detailed information on system changes, communicating effectively across levels and organisational boundaries. You will be capable of influencing and building consensus to move business forward.

 

You will be able to work on your own initiative and prioritise your work to achieve the best outcome for forces. Knowledge of project management principles would be beneficial to support this activity.

 

You will have experience of working across force boundaries, either through working with other forces or partner agencies, with any experience of IT system testing welcome, but not essential.

 

Your application should evidence the following criteria:

 

Essential

 

  • Extensive experience in the ‘Pro-active management plans’ element of Athena.
  • Effectively communicating business processes and ideas.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Influencing and building consensus.
  • Effective working with other Police Forces or partner agencies.

 

Desirable

 

  • Jira experience.
  • Knowledge of project management principles.
  • Experience running pre deployment Operational Readiness Reviews.

Essex Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £37,692.00.

Kent Police and Essex Police have separate salary grading systems therefore the salary for this position will be dependent on which home office force you are appointed to. This will be discussed with the successful applicant before a final offer is made.
