Financial Intelligence Officer x 2 - Cyber and Forensics (SEROCU)
We are seeking two highly motivated individuals to become Financial Intelligence Officers within the South East Regional Crypto Currency Unit at SEROCU. The successful candidates will be joining an established and nationally recognised team due to the expansion of the existing capability which is planned to commence in January 2026.
Applications are invited from accredited Financial Intelligence Officers who have attended and passed national training. We would also be interested in applications from persons who have an interest in financial investigation and background experience working in intelligence or with crypto currencies.
Successful candidates will need to be driven to learn and develop. Acknowledging the challenging development pathway to learn to track, trace and seize crypto currencies while achieving FIO status. As part of their development they will be required to attend and pass training, acquiring the required level of skills needed to perform the role.
The successful candidates will need to be adaptable in order to join this forward-thinking team at the forefront of law enforcement efforts to respond to the increased use of crypto currencies. This unique and exciting opportunity brings about a challenging and rewarding role, where no two days are the same.
The post holder will be expected to contribute to an on-call rota as part of their role.
Our working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We offer flexible and remote working options, but staff are required to work from the office two days a week
Please note that this role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK. Therefore, the successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence.
Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary for the successful candidate to obtain and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks. In order to achieve this, you must have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.
