An exciting opportunity has arisen in Essex Police for the role of Recruitment Assistant within the Corporate Recruitment Team.

 

This role is key in supporting the recruitment and selection activities for Police Officers and Police Staff for both Essex Police and Kent Police. You will be required to maintain and update any related computerised records, assist with the planning, organising and running of assessment centres and selection processes in order to facilitate the effective and timely provision of all aspects of recruitment and selection.

 

The post holder will have previous experience in an administrative role and should be educated to GCSE level or equivalent. Experience of Microsoft Office Products is essential and previous experience of a HR database system such as SAP would be desirable.

 

You should have experience of large scale recruitment and selection processes and arranging outreach events to attract potential candidates.

 

Effective communication skills are essential as the post holder will be required to communicate and update Managers, Assessors, and Candidates in relation to all aspects of the recruitment and selection processes for Essex Police and Kent Police.

 

The post holder will be required to be self-motivated, flexible, have attention to detail and the capability to work off their own initiative, as well as working alone or in a team.

 

This role is generally Monday-Friday, however there is a requirement to work weekends and evenings and on occasions travel to Kent due to the recruitment function being a collaborative team.

Successful applicants for this role will be defined as an office based agile worker with a designated team area, working predominantly (60% or more) in one office space, the rest of the time working at home or at other police site locations.

Essex Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £28,650.00.
