Major Crime Investigator
Applications are invited from experienced investigators for ‘Key Role’ positions within the Major Crime Investigation Team. These roles offer a unique opportunity to contribute to the investigation of the most serious and complex crimes, supporting major inquiries and delivering high-quality investigative support as part of a dynamic and professional team.
The role will involve the investigation of serious and complex major crime, working in key roles within Major Incident Rooms and when necessary, the Casualty Bureau.
The main duties of the post holder will consist of performing key roles within the MIR which include Receiver, Action Allocator, Reader, Exhibits Officer, Disclosure Officer, CCTV, statement taking and House to House Coordination.
Applicants must be flexible and willing to work long hours as required at short notice.

Essential skills
- Previous investigative experience.
- Report writing, and casefile submission.
- Working knowledge of NICHE.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications.
Desirable skills
- PIP2 accreditation.
- Working knowledge of HOLMES is desirable. HOLMES training will be provided.

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to RV Vetting.
