An exciting opportunity has arisen within IT Services for an individual to undertake the role of Digital Agility - Technical Solutions Designer within the Technical Solutions team. You will be working through the full solution lifecycle from the initial idea for new or changed technology, through requirements gathering, technical assessment and options analysis, procurement, design, planning and implementation for Kent Police.
The role of Technical Solutions Designer requires the experience of a seasoned IT engineer with a solid evidence of solutions design, integration and, importantly, adherence to security protocols. If you have the depth and breadth of experience that supports this role, please ensure your application evidences the following:

TECHNICAL DESIGN: Your production of High Level and Low-Level design documents.

SECURITY PROTOCOLS: Your knowledge and experience of applying Force Security protocols to IT systems.

DEPTH AND BREADTH OF TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE: Your knowledge and experience across infrastructure and/or systems in terms of technical development, support, and documentation. Please ensure you detail how many years you have worked in specialist areas.

SOLUTION DELIVERY: Your experience of delivering solutions that meet Functional and Non-Functional requirements.

This opportunity would suit a highly motivated and dynamic individual with excellent communication skills and a keen interest in developing new or changed technology.
The role will offer flexibility in terms of place of work, and you will work predominately at home and only work in the office when required to do so. The extent of flexibility will be agreed through individual assessment with the line manager to assess operational requirements and the individual’s suitability for home working. In the event that home working is agreed for the successful candidate, there will be a requirement to regularly attend a ‘Team Zone’ at Northfleet on an average one or two days a week, as agreed with the line manager.
This role is advertised as a full-time permanent position based in Kent Police.

Kent Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £54,597.00.
