An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to undertake the role of Police Vehicle Technician at our Aylesford workshop.

 

Applications are invited from fully qualified motor vehicle technicians who have served a recognised apprenticeship and are qualified to a minimum of City and Guilds 1&2, NVQ level 3 or a BTEC National qualification in motor vehicle engineering; this is an excellent opportunity within the Kent Police Transport department.

 

This is a challenging role that requires the successful candidate to be competent in the repair and maintenance of a wide variety of vehicle types, from our PSU class 7 vehicles to our basic general-purpose vehicles, the role will require a sound electrical knowledge to assist our new vehicle build section with the production of police specified vehicle types.

 

You will work closely in support of Kent police officers in providing a frontline service.

 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the motor trade, have excellent communication skills, they should also be competent in the use of modern computerised diagnostic equipment and hold the necessary qualifications for the role.

 

Applicants will need to provide evidence to demonstrate the skills required to become a police motor vehicle technician.

 

This is an excellent opportunity that would suit a highly motivated and dynamic individual who can bring their wide experience to the role of a Police vehicle technician within the transport department.

 

Applicants will also be in receipt of a Market Premium of £3000 per annum subject to review.
