We are looking for someone to #JoinUs as a General Manager in our Fleet Department. Could you be who we are looking for?

About the team/Department you will be joining:

You will be working within the Fleet department in Bridgend. The department oversees the maintenance of approximately 1,000 vehicles from across the force area and is a collaborative department with Bridgend County Borough Council who also have a fleet of around 400 vehicles.

About the role and your key responsibilities:

You will be part of the Fleet Management Team and will be responsible for managing all aspects of the administrative areas including purchasing of vehicles, managing finance, supervision of administrative staff and functions, managing Health and Safety, overseeing estates issue and provide reports to senior officers.

Your normal hours of work are 37 hours per week with an unpaid meal break, which must be a minimum of 20 minutes.

A flexible working scheme is by agreement with your manager and is subject to the conditions contained within and the continuance of the flexi-time policy.

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:

Must be qualified to degree level or have equivalent managerial experience, with at least 2 yrs experience of managing staff, finance and budgets.  Must have IOSH Managing Safely qualification or equivalent. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft 365 applications and have excellent organisational skills.

Current full valid driving license.
