We are looking for someone to join us as an Operational Business Support Administrator in our Operation Support Unit. Could you be who we are looking for?

About the Team/Department you will be joining:

We are a small team based in Merthyr Bridewell on Rhydycar Business Park
CF481DL, providing operational support to our Front-line officers and Staff across Mid Glamorgan BCU.

We are predominantly office based, with the chance of working from home (once fully trained) 1 day a week, but this is dependent on operational need and is not guaranteed. Your duties will include keyboarding, formatting documents, input and retrieval of documents and financial transactions.

 

About the role and your key responsibilities:

The role involves providing support to officers and staff across the BCU.

The work is always varied and very busy. There are processes to be followed which are reviewed regularly and changed accordingly. Provide relevant information, on the phone, face-to-face, and/or electronic based on existing departmental procedures.

We are required to ensure officers and staff are compliant with processes, quality assure them for use by self and others as directed.

 

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:

Applicants should be highly competent in all Microsoft Applications and be able to retrieve and update considerable records/data with both manual and national systems. You will carry out a wide range of functions including support relating to HR, Estates, Finance, Health and Safety Compliance, Evidential Property Management, and general administration functions to undefined operational policing.

You must be flexible and adaptable to change and be prepared to undertake additional duties.

We are looking for a Team Player who is organised, a good communicator and a keen eye for accuracy and detail, who can work well with others but also work alone on projects.  We will require you to engage with internal and external customers and provide a high-quality standard of service.

This role is/ is not suitable for part time/job share workers due to operational requirements.

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to RV Vetting.
