Humberside’s Community Safety Unit are looking for an individual to join them on an 18-month contract apprenticeships programme.
The successful candidate will carry out a Business Administrator Level 3 which will run for approximately 18 months.
This qualification provides the knowledge, skills and values needed for excellent administration. These include information handling, communications, enterprise and customer service, technology, organisation skills, self-development, teamwork and business policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertakes clerical duties, sometimes of a non-routine nature, such as photocopying, scanning, mail sorting and delivery, documentation collating and distribution, typing and word processing, filing and management of diaries.
- Responds to telephone queries, providing advice to members of the public, Police Officers and Partners, escalating more complex matters to the Administrative Officer.
- Ensures all licensing applications are processed and dealt with within statutory consultation periods.
- Attends meetings as required, which involves taking and preparing minutes, including notification and following up of action required.
- Collects, collates and prepares statistical data in accordance with legal requirements.
- Visits sponsors (i.e. companies businesses), partner agencies, schools and youth organisations in order to answer queries and/or provide information and advice on youth engagement projects.

What the role requires:
- Experience of working in a customer orientated field
- Has knowledge of building management systems, database systems, ordering and invoicing systems used for financial control.
- Experience of maintaining databases and researching data from computerised recording systems.
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literacy/keyboard skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision when required.
- Carries out tasks in an accurate and methodical manner with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
