Role: Community Safety Hub Volunteer

Department: Community Safety Unit

Location: Pearson Park, Hull or Melton, East Yorkshire

Hours:  8 Hours per week (Flexible)

Contract: Permanent

Humberside Police are looking for individuals to join them in their Community Safety Unit as Hub Volunteers. To be based at either Pearson Park in Hull, or Melton, East Yorkshire.

As a Community Safety Hub volunteer, you will support the community Safety Unit and Neighbourhoods Policing teams by providing support with daily tasks arising and to help on projects working alongside uniformed and non-uniformed Officers/Police Staff.

Community Safety Volunteers play a crucial role in supporting the hub and the Community Engagement Officer with inputting accurate data onto the relevant computer systems and liaising with internal and external customers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To liaise and update with the Engagement officer for Volunteers.
  • To provide support to the CSU and local NPTs on North Bank
  • Maintain confidentiality in line with GDPR.
  • Identifies any relevant critical Intelligence information that needs to be dealt with as a matter of urgency, by bringing to the attention of their SPOC
  • Has the ability to recognise when matters should be referred to more senior staff.

It is not likely that closing dates will be extended, other than in exceptional circumstances and would need to be with the permission of the Recruitment Manager and Line Manager of the role.
