Transferee Authorised Firearms Constables

Within Gloucestershire, the current opportunities are within our Royal Household Protection Group (RHPG) who provide 24/7 armed support (both in static and mobile formats) to the Royal Houses within Gloucestershire or within our Armed Response Unit team. As vacancies arise officers will have the opportunity should they wish to transfer to the County ARV teams.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both newly qualified and experienced AFOs alike to be part of a specialist team of officers and staff who carry out a critically important operational role.
To undertake this role you must be fully operationally deployable, a licensed AFO (trained to ARV standard) and able to work the entire range of shifts over the required pattern.
A relocation allowance will be available for successful applicants for this post who meet the criteria.

Officers serving with the Ministry of Defence or another non Home Office Forces such as Royal Parks, Civil Nuclear Constabulary, Ports of Dover, Liverpool and Bristol which are not classed as police forces under the Police Act 1996, are unfortunately not eligible to apply to transfer.
