To provide a professional, engaging and targeted communications service ensuring there is a coordinated and consistent approach to communicating to our internal and external audiences and stakeholders; updating and utilising all digital and non-digital channels.

To advise and guide officers and staff on a range of communications specialisms and channels.

To be responsible for the co-ordination, implementation and maintenance of communication plans for key national and local campaigns delivered to the appropriate audience.

To deliver creative, effective marketing campaigns using a variety of communication methods.

To provide resilience support to the Corporate Communications function where and when
appropriate for other services such as basic intranet updates, social media posts, press releases etc.

This permanent vacancy is part time with a shift pattern of 14 hours per working week - Shift pattern is uploaded.

There are certain posts in SPA/Police Scotland which, under the Police and Fire Reform (Scotland) Act 2012 and the application of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 as amended, fall into the category of being designated as “politically restricted.”  This restriction imposes limitations on an employee who is in a politically restricted post only.
