Humberside Police are looking for a highly motivated individual to join them in their busy Learning & Development department.
As a Crime Training Supervisor, the post holder will be required to supervise police officers and/ or police staff training.
Responsible for delivering crime training together with the design and delivery of appropriate training solutions for investigative courses and within Learning and Development.
Experience in training and development would be beneficial as you will be Conducting investigative skills training at the Training Department or at Division and must be competent in dealing with large or small groups; ensuring that each session is structured to meet the needs of the students and applies the most appropriate training methodology.
The successful candidate will Assesses students attending courses and provides structured feedback on their progress and achievements to enable them to plan further development in the workplace, validating performance towards internal and external accreditation.
Key Responsibilities:
- To research, design and deliver investigative skills training PIP2 and specialised investigation courses to provide for development in each of these areas.
- The post holder is responsible for meeting the needs and expectation of individuals by providing appropriate help and advice, taking all concerns seriously and explaining what will be done to address them, including whether or not any further actions will be taken and why.
- Designs and develops new investigative skills training courses or individual training sessions in order to ensure that officers receive the opportunity for development and are kept up to date with new legislation and practice and recognised national standards, in accordance with force, departmental and external requirements such as The People Strategy, Plan on a Page and Learning & Development Strategy
- Reviews course content on a regular basis to ensure that material is relevant and up to date with new developments and regularly reviews the presentations provided by outside speakers for quality and content.
- Undertakes course administration in relation to; attendance of students, booking of speakers, course programming and maintenance of course materials to ensure the smooth running of training courses
- Provide cover for line management when required.
