There is whole range of reasons as to why you should consider joining the Cadets:
First and foremost, Cadets is a fun environment that will allow you to meet new people and make new friends, while partaking in a range of different activities such as team building challenges.
If you are interested in a future career in Policing, this opportunity will give you fantastic insight, training, and experience in the field. You will get the chance to learn about our different Policing departments such as roads policing, Licensing, Protecting Vulnerable People and our Force Control Room. A number of our Cadets have become Police Officers, Special Constables, members of Staff and Volunteer Cadet Leaders!
Even if you don’t have future aspirations for a career in Policing, Cadets is a great way to make a difference or get involved in your local community. Through volunteering you can gain skills that will set you up for your future!

What is required?
- This opportunity is open to those aged 15 and 16.
- Must be based in the Humberside region (Grimsby, Hull, Bridlington, Goole, Beverley and Scunthorpe).
- Must be willing to commit to 2 hours a week on a Wednesday Evening (in term time only).
- Successful Applicants will be subject to Vetting Procedures and a probationary period.
- All applicants must have lived in the UK for 3 years or more.
