Accounts Payable Assistant

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.  The Accounts Payable Team manage all the invoices for the Constabulary, deal with a range of queries and maintain excellent working relationships with our customers.

In this role, you will need to be organised, proactive and enjoy working on your own initiative.  Accuracy is key in this role to ensure all the information is correct as well as maintaining high standards of customer service for our suppliers and customers.

Your work location will be Patchway Police Centre but as this role is blended you will be able to work from home the majority of the time.  You will only be expected to be visit your workplace a couple of times per month.

Your role will include:

  • Receiving and accurately processing invoices for payment
  • Providing excellent customer service and building good working relationships with customers
  • Pro-actively managing work cycles to ensure prompt payment of invoices
  • Supporting other team members and working well as a team

What do you need?

  • Experience of using IT systems, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team.
  • Excellent customer relation skills to liaise with suppliers, internal and external customers both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience in accurate data extraction and input.
