About the team/Department you will be joining:
You will be working within the Fleet vehicle workshop in Bridgend. The department oversees the maintenance of approximately 1,000 vehicles from across the force area. We have 12 vehicle Technicians, 6 Mobile Technicians and 2 Lead Technicians that perform the repairs and maintenance to those vehicles.
About the role and your key responsibilities:
You will be required to perform repairs and maintenance to a large variety of vehicles the force has on its Fleet. There is a strong emphasis on ongoing training which you will be required to undertake as part of the role. The hours of the post are 7am to 5pm 4 days a week.
What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:
Must have a good standard of education to at least GCSE A-C Level, including Maths and English, or be able to demonstrate equivalent skills and abilities.
Hold a current full valid driving license.
Must have achieved modern apprenticeship level 3 in vehicle maintenance or equivalent.
You should have a good understanding of a workshop environment, good knowledge of workshop tools and equipment including diagnostic equipment.
The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to RV Vetting.
