As a Data Analyst within the Business Insight team, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients by delivering data and understanding through client management, development of end user requirements, effective storytelling, and translation of complex data/information into user friendly products. You will proactively develop services that add value and contribute to the service catalogue. Your analytical skills will be essential in conducting predictive analysis and working with senior clients to shape the organisation's future direction.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will create reports, dashboards, and tools to help key stakeholders understand their team and organisational performance. You will work with clients to improve their use of data and help them make better decisions. You will find new ways to use technology to help the business and work with other teams to ensure the organisation gets the most benefit from its projects.
  • You will use various tools and techniques to clean, analyse, and model data to forecast management information, independently research organisational problems and design innovative data solutions, and effectively communicate data trends to support insights at organisational performance conferences and board meetings.
  • You will help clients understand complex data by turning it into simple explanations. You will also give advice to make sure people understand the data and where it came from.
  • You will keep track of data that the organisation must report to the government and local authorities. You will also manage the reports and charts that the organisation uses to track its performance. You will oversee data reporting and ensure that it complies with regulations and meets the needs of the organisation.

As a successful Data Analyst, you will possess a strong foundation in data literacy, coupled with exceptional problem-solving skills and a flair for building effective client relationships. Your ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing, will be essential. You will be highly self-motivated, driven by curiosity, and have a keen eye for detail. A degree in a related field is desirable but not essential. You should be familiar at least one of the follow: SQL, Power BI, Excel, R or similar (Qlik, Tableau, Python, Looker).
