Directorate Assistant

In this varied, busy and interesting role you will be working to support the chief of staff and vulnerability lead.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to join us in an administrative position. You will gain lots of insight into our organisation in this post, working directly with senior leaders you will provide an efficient and confidential service to support them.
We are looking for an individual with proven experience in providing personal support to a Chief Officer / Director, someone who excels in a dynamic and varied environment, and possesses the skills to provide day-to-day executive support in a busy environment.
You will carry out a wide range of tasks daily including, diary and email management, facilitate and minute meetings, as well as reviewing documents and drafting correspondence. Good communication skills to liaise with different stakeholders and speak up to management are critical. Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages is essential, as well as the ability to take meeting minutes and follow up on actions. You may have line management responsibility, although previous supervisory experience is not essential.
What do you need?
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Previous personal assistant or secretarial experience
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages
- Experience of arranging and preparing meetings
If you are not familiar with a police organisation and all that we do, we will provide you with training and insight to the role and the organisation once you start.
