Investigation Support
We are currently inviting applications for an exciting and varied role within the Criminal Investigation Department based at Maidenhead Police Station. You will be working in support of a mixed team of Police Officers and staff investigating a wide variety of offences. Your duties will involve a range of activities including following up lines of enquiry, completing house to house and CCTV enquiries and taking statements from victims and witnesses.
The essentials
- English GCSE (grade 9-1, A-C or Key Skills Level 2 or equivalent)
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact confidently with both staff and members of the public
- Proven ability to plan, manage and prioritise workloads
- Flexible approach to working as some evening and weekend work might be required on occasion.
- Must have capability to travel to different locations across the Force and undertake all assignments in a timely manner. Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered essential.
The hours are Monday to Friday office hours.
