We are seeking a detail‑driven and proactive professional to support the delivery of the Force Audit Strategy. In this role, you will complete audits across a range of systems—both manual and computerised—to assess compliance with national standards, internal policies and relevant legislation. You’ll be part of a team committed to providing high‑quality, customer‑focused service in line with the Staff Charter.

• Delivering a planned programme of audits across Force computer applications and information systems.
• Designing templates for new audit programmes to ensure a consistent, corporate approach.
• Conducting compliance audits to assess whether policies, processes and procedures are being followed at all levels.
• Reviewing systems against key requirements such as MOPI, National Crime Recording Standards, NSIR, Home Office Counting Rules, Victims Code of Practice, PNC standards and the Data Protection Act 2018.
• Working closely with system owners and staff to gather evidence, offer advice and provide guidance during audit activity.
• Collating and analysing data to identify trends, explain findings and support effective recommendations.
• Preparing clear and timely reports for senior leaders, supported by accurate evidence and audit data.

Your work will help ensure the organisation maintains high standards of data quality, compliance and accountability. By identifying issues and supporting improvements, you will contribute directly to public confidence, organisational integrity and the effective delivery of policing services.
