Regional HR Advisor (Business Support) (CTPSE & SEROCU)
We are looking for a proactive Regional People Advisor to join our HR Team to deliver a comprehensive HR advisory service across our regional units; Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) and the South East Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU). This is a pivotal role where you’ll support managers and colleagues through expert guidance, case management, and people-focused change initiatives. You will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring our people practices are fair, inclusive, consistent, legally compliant, and aligned with our organisation’s values.
We support and encourage flexible and agile working, and welcome applications from those interested in either full or part time (ideally over five days a week in order to maintain resilience). You will have the flexibility to work from home circa two days a week, the rest of the time based in the office. You may occasionally be required to travel to other sites in the south east region.
The office base location is difficult to access via public transport therefore we are ideally seeking somebody that holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle.
To be successful in this role, you will need to evidence the following;
- Experience in an HR Advisory role, providing advice to managers and employees on a diverse range of issues including employee relations and resourcing
- Proven ability to manage a varied and complex caseload.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A confident problem solver with sound judgement and a people-first approach.
- CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience
Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks. In order to achieve this, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad. Please be aware that if successful there are limitations on travelling to a small number of countries once in post
You can find more information about security vetting here.
