Working Pattern: Mon-Fri 

Weekend/Evening Working: No 

 

We are looking for a suitable candidate to provide a wide range of essential administrative and IT support for the Professional Standards Department in respect of the processes for police officer conduct meetings and hearings, including undertaking research, record maintenance, and responding to enquiries, in order to ensure the smooth, efficient and effective operation of these important statutory processes in line with Force policy and National guidelines. There will be a requirement at times to deputise for the Hearings Manager, as necessary

    

At shortlisting we will be looking for essential evidence of:

  • Significant previous experience of administrative work in a complex office environment
  • Sound working knowledge of the Police Conduct processes and procedures
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High degree of resilience due to the nature of the day-to-day contacts and must be able to effectively work under pressure

 

In addition, it would be helpful if you could evidence:      

  • Possesses a detailed understanding of working procedures, practices and policies relevant to the current role and the roles of subordinates and ensures that these are followed at all time
  • Demonstrates an awareness of personal risk management issues, challenges or difficulties

   

Our location

This role is a mix of agile working and attendance at Kent Police headquarters, Sutton Road, Maidstone ME15 9BZ

There will be a requirement to attend police misconduct proceedings at this address.

 

Kent Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £31,731.00.
