Our new communications and engagement officer will need a recognised qualification and demonstrable experience in a corporate communications, PR journalism or marketing field.
You’ll be based in the East of the County, supporting the delivery of local policing across a large, diverse mix of urban and rural communities, all with different communication and engagement needs.
A confident communicator, you’ll need excellent written and verbal communication skills along with experience of developing and implementing communication strategy.
You’ll work on internal and external communications ensuring both the public and our employees are well informed and engaged.

Skills and Experience:
A recognised qualification or extensive experience in communications, journalism, public relations or marketing equivalent to NVQ5.
Applicants will need to do a presentation on the day along with a written assessment.
Vetting and Medical:
Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
