Head of Information Rights and Disclosure Unit
Durham Constabulary is seeking an experienced senior professional to lead its Information Rights & Disclosure Unit (IRDU) and act as the Force’s Data Protection Officer (DPO). This is a high-profile role operating in a highly regulated and scrutinised environment, responsible for ensuring statutory compliance, managing organisational risk and maintaining public confidence.You will provide strategic leadership, professional advice and assurance across all information rights and disclosure functions, including FOI, SARs, court disclosures and DBS liaison. You will advise and brief senior leaders on complex, high-risk matters and undefined a critical operational unit under sustained demand, while acting independently as the Force DPO.
