Control Room SME - Police Staff

 Job Title: Control Room Subject Matter Expert

Permanent

Hours: 37 per week

Part time/flexible working options will be considered

Salary range: £33,603 to £38169 per annum (pro-rata if part time)  

Based at: Force Headquarters

Main Purpose of Role

To design and deliver changes to the Control Room Command and Control Solution ensuring all Working Practices, Policies and processes are followed and adhered to for due diligence. To carry out full end user testing and audits on all applications and integrations ensuring the solution operates efficiently and effectively to protect performance, Service Delivery and the end user experience.

Key Skills & Experience Required

  1. Must have previous experience of Command-and-Control Solutions and have good technical insight.
  2. Must have proven working knowledge or experience of organisational communication and information systems within a large communications room.
  3. Must have extensive knowledge of Control Room Policies and Procedures and Working Practices.
  4. Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to Continuous System Development
  5. Must be able to work in a busy and demanding environment developing and maintaining a co-operative working relationship with others.
  6. Must be able to demonstrate extensive experience and ability in the use of Command-and-Control solutions.
  7. Must be able to work using own initiative, and without constant supervision, addressing issues and finding appropriate solutions.
  1. Must be able to present detailed documentation at a high level inclusive of generating reports and be confident in presenting at meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  2. Must have excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  1. Must be able to share processes and working practices in a training scenario.
  2. Must be able to prioritise workload whilst identifying risk.
  3. Must have successfully completed a tutor-training course/or significant working knowledge/experience
  4. Must have been trained in all Control room technical systems. Including Command & Control solutions.
  5. Must have high technical knowledge of computer systems
  6. Must be willing to attend courses in relation to computer systems and their development
