Collision Records Officer - Police Staff
Main Purpose of Role
To allow Nottinghamshire Police and our local authority partners to be able to effectively reduce those killed and injured on our Counties roads, effective collision data needs to be collected by Police Officers to be able to be analysed which highlights locations of concern and prompts action from one or more partners in an effort to reduce collisions at those sites.
The Collision Records Officer is pivotal to ensure data is collected, it is accurate and works closely with our partners to translate that data to action. The post holder will work part time, in conjunction with the existing Collision records Officer and between you, you will be responsible for managing a small number of staff, and the Collision Records Department.
The post holder will be a systems administrator for, and increase accuracy within the Forces Collision recording system, CRaSH (Collision Recording and Sharing system), ensuring the efficient handling, collation, dissemination and storage of road traffic collision data, as well as being responsible for timely submission of data to the Department of Transport (DfT).
The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring timely collision data provision to interested third parties in line with the Management of Police Information (MOPI) and Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Vetting Level – Recruitment – you must have resided in the UK for at least the last 3 years, with less than 12 months spent abroad (some exceptions for those living on a UK military base).
For current Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner staff applicants, please note that Nottinghamshire Police would be a new employer. However, an agreement has been made whereby all tenure and length of service will be honoured.
