Job Title: Project Support Officer

Hours: 37 per week

Salary range: A1: Starting salary £30,333

Based at: Force Headquarters.

We are delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and organised Project Support Officer to join our forward-thinking Business Change and Transformation Team.

This newly created role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting positive organisational change and developing their project delivery skills within a dynamic and supportive environment.  

Working closely with Project Managers and the PMO Manager, you will play a key role in enabling effective project delivery, supporting governance, coordinating meetings, managing project documentation, and ensuring the smooth running of project activities across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide high‑quality administrative and organisational support, including agendas, minutes, action tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Support planning and monitoring of project workstreams using tools such as Gantt charts, undertaking research and producing clear reports.
  • Coordinate project activities (workshops, meetings, engagement sessions), act as a key point of contact, and support change control and configuration management.

It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:

  • Experience using Microsoft 365/Office applications and providing administrative support within a project, programme, or service‑delivery environment.
  • Understanding of basic project management principles, tools and terminology, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to produce professional reports and presentations, coordinate meetings, take accurate minutes, and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, ability to work collaboratively, and commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and Nottinghamshire Police values.
