Base Location can be negotiated at the point of offer
This is an exciting opportunity to work in on a nationally recognised priority.
We are seeking an experienced professional to build and maintain the data products that help the Force and partners prevent harm, safeguard victims and improve outcomes. Working closely with a dedicated lead analyst, the post holder will develop automated, interactive management information solutions that enable leaders to assess performance and drive service improvement across public protection and investigative functions, enhancing how the Force prevents, responds to and safeguards in cases of Domestic Abuse (DA), Stalking and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), and optimises the effectiveness of Multi-Agency Risk Conferences (MARAC).
Your dashboards, apps and automations will be used widely by staff at all levels and partner agencies to inform strategic and tactical decisions in the management of threat, harm and risk - directly affecting safeguarding and investigative outcomes for victims. This work will involve the use of Power BI and potentially Agentic AI, so previous experience with regard to either development or collaboration in the development of these tools would be useful.
Owing to the importance of effective partnership working in these areas, this work will have visibility inside and outside the organisation. Consultation with end users will be essential in order to ensure the best possible products are developed and delivered. The post holder will be required to work closely not only with the lead analyst but with our Service Improvement Team more broadly and the professional leads for RASSO, VAWG, DA and Stalking.
Owing to the fixed term nature of the role and ambitious delivery targets previous knowledge and experience of police systems may be advantageous, as would potential availability for a start date prior to 1st April 2026
If you are a permanent member of staff applying for this role, please note it will be offered on a secondment basis. Important: All secondments must be supported in writing by your Line Manager and Head of Department/Commander or Deputy. Please attach written approval from your line manager and Head of Department in your application. If the secondment is not supported then the role may be offered on a fixed term contract basis, but this has implications including loss of continuous service protections.
Please note: Shift allowance, on-call or other job related allowances from the previous role will not be protected unless they are attached to the new role for the duration of the secondment.
