Business Support Officer
1. About the Role
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for the Learning & Development team, providing high‑quality business support and ensuring the smooth delivery of L&D services. You will work closely with colleagues across People Development, wider Force teams, external partners, and training providers. Everything you do will reflect our Force Values — being Courageous, Open, Fair, and Inclusive — and uphold the principles of the Code of Ethics.
2. What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinating, scheduling, and administering training courses
- Maintaining accurate records by entering and updating data on policing systems
- Processing information in line with GDPR requirements
- Raising purchase orders and supporting budget reconciliation
- Providing administrative support for courses, exams, and use of the training estate
- Preparing performance and management information reports
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate information
- Supporting the planning and delivery of courses
- Identifying opportunities for improving L&D processes
- Offering flexible support across the L&D Department when required
