The Opportunity
We are looking for an Intelligence Management Officer (FIMU) to join the Force Intelligence Management Unit Team. Where you will provide a high-quality service to the force in support of the force strategic and tactical priorities and as part of the wider team.
We are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals who can communicate effectively, work in a team environment with the ability to work alone. Who has excellent IT skills alongside the ability to organise and prioritise work effectively in a high demand high risk area of business.
We currently have one part time permanent position of 18.5 hours per week available in Scarborough. The salary for the position is £27,204 - £32,613 per annum pro-rata, salary progression is based on a review of evidence provided against the Training & Career Progression Plan.
You will be expected to work a shift pattern across seven days between 08:00 and 18:00. No shift pay is applicable, however weekend working enhancement payment does apply.
Bank holiday working is done on a voluntary basis.

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals who can use their own initiative, communicate effectively, work in a team environment and has excellent IT skills alongside the ability to organise and prioritise work effectively with the following skills and experience:
· Excellent IT skills (as a key element of the role is to interrogate a range of in-house computer databases as well as utilising excel, word and power-point for presentation purposes)
· Ability to organise and prioritise
· Ability to communicate effectively
· Research and report writing experience
· Strong team working skills
· Work effectively using your own initiative
· Successful completion or willingness to work towards completion of the Intelligence Professionalisation Programme (IPP) accreditation and ongoing professional development, or has equivalent experience and able to demonstrate equivalent level of expertise.
· An awareness of the practical application of risk assessment processes and a willingness to achieve national accreditation.
· Knowledge of the National Intelligence Model (NIM) and other legislation impacting on the intelligence business area is desirable but not essential

You will be expected to work towards the completion of the Intelligence Professionalisation Programme (IPP) accreditation and have an awareness of the practical application of risk assessment.
You will gain knowledge of the National Intelligence Model (NIM) and other legislation impacting on the intelligence business area.
