Apprenticeship Academy - 2026
About the Apprenticeship Academy
Our established Apprenticeship Academy scheme provides exciting opportunities for anyone aged 18 and above to start a career in policing.
This apprenticeship is ideal for you if you are a school leaver and want to earn a salary whilst getting a formal qualification rather than going into further education or university, or for somebody who wishes to change their career path and gain a recognised qualification in doing so.
Apprenticeships, unlike university or college, provide a mix of classroom and hands-on experience gained through real on the job mentor-led training. By the end of your Apprenticeship contract, you will have all the necessary skills and confidence needed to apply for a permanent role to progress your career even further and wider.
(Please note that places on our Apprenticeship Academy are offered on a fixed-term basis for 18 months from the start date. The next intake is scheduled to begin on 03 July 2026)
