Job Title: Scene Assistant & Equipment Specialist - Police Staff - Ops Support FMT - CTP London

Salary: The starting salary is £38,926, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.

The salary is broken down as £35,998 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £38,523. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Job Summary:

The Scene Assistants support the operational Detectives on the Forensic Management Team at CT investigations, providing specialist support recovering evidence. They are responsible for the CT Control vehicles that attend most major incidents in London. They support the training for the national FMT network and provide support at CT exercises. This position plays a vital role within the CT Network.  

Key Tasks:

The post holder will be required to:

  • Support FMT detectives at CT scenes
  • Drive & maintain the CT control vehicles
  • Maintain the equipment used to support CT scenes
  • Support FMT national training programme
  • Support FMT officers CPD exercises
  • Support the FMT in gaining ISO accreditation

Vetting

This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post; with a willingness to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) once in post, if required.

Confidentiality Agreement
