About the Opportunity

Due to the retirement of the current post holder, we are now recruiting for a Transactional Officer to join our finance team at Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service; as part shared service arrangements with Staffordshire Police.

As the post holder you will assist the Transactional Finance Manager in the delivery of an efficient accounts payable and accounts receivable service to Staffordshire Fire and Rescue.

The main responsibilities of the role are to ensure that all invoices are processed correctly and there is appropriate matching to purchase orders, in line with Service procedures. To work with colleagues to resolve any invoice queries and to manage the outstanding orders and goods receipting process. In addition, to assist in the administration of the sales ledger and cash book.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable role.

This post will be required to work from Fire HQ Pirehill.
