Sergeant Promotion 2026 | Familiarisation Event

Cleveland Police will so be launching the 2026 Sergeant Promotion process and will soon be inviting applications from suitably qualified substantive Constables seeking promotion to the next rank. We also welcome applications from transferee Constables on promotion from Home Office forces.
To support this process, we encourage all eligible officers interested in applying to attend our Sergeant Promotion Familiarisation Event at CPHQ.
The event will be opened by Chief Constable Victoria Fuller and will feature:
Superintendent Paul Allen, Process Lead, providing insight into the promotion process.
A presentation from the HR Recruitment Team outlining the application process and answering your questions.
Input from the Learning & Development Team offering an overview of the NPPF process.
Applications for promotion will open on the afternoon of Monday, 5 January 2026.
